PM Says IT can cut CO2 5% & ACS Teaches How

At a conference in Sydney this morning, the Prime Minister, Kevin Rudd, stated that broadband could reduce greenhouse gas emissions in Australia by 5%. A book to accompany the ACS's course on how to do this was launched later at the event.

Open University Green ICT Course

Open Universities Australia is now offering the course "Green ICT Strategies" (ACS25). This is through the Computer Professional Education Program of the Australian Computer Society. The course materials are published as "Green Technology Strategies: Using computers and telecommunications to reduce carbon emissions".
